In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Alchem Industries are monitoring the situation constantly and continuing to follow government recommendations and advice provided by the Legionella Control Association. Our absolute priority will always be the safety of our staff and clients’ residents, workers and visitors. As a result we will be implementing some home and remote working processes in the coming days to ensure they are kept safe, while maintaining a smooth service to our customers.
We would like to take this opportunity to provide reassurance to our customers that, as an experienced compliance company, continuity of services will be a key focus during this period of uncertainty. Due to the nature of the services we carry out, and the severity of the risks posed to our customers, we are ensuring that we continue to keep them safe from a multitude of hazards.
From an operational point of view we would kindly ask that our customers cooperate with us during this time. One of the ways in which our customers can work with us is to ensure that buildings are accessible for our engineers during this time to enable them to carry out their service visits. If any buildings within your portfolio are due to be closed, we must remind you of the impact that a break in the monitoring regime may have in increasing bacteria proliferation in the water system. The Health and Safety at Work Act is still applicable and legionella control must still be managed. We have the resource to amend or extend our schedule to ensure we stick to the monitoring regime as closely as possible and keep your portfolio compliant. Please speak to your Account Manager if this applies to you and you would like to discuss your individual circumstances.
Finally we would like to thank our customers, suppliers and of course, our team for working together during this period of uncertainty.
